Personal Protective Equipment at Work
MCS assume responsibility for the supply of all PPE to our team. PPE should be supplied and used in the workplace wherever there are risks to health and safety that cannt be adequately controlled in other ways. We are sure to assess the suitability of the PPE Equipment we supply before we issue it or use it.
Environmentally Aware Civils Contractor
MCS have put in place effective environmental management procedures that can bring bring benefits to both the environment and the business itself. It is important to us that we are aware of the effects on the environment as a consequence of the tasks we undertake. It is important that we look at ways of preventing and minimising our impacts on the environment due to our work activities.
Wi-1 – Scottish Power Safety Rule Induction – My Experience
The Wi-1 authorisation allows the holder to work on, or adjacent to, isolated plant or equipment when working on the Scottish Power network. For companies and their contractors who work on the Scottish Power network, gaining this accreditation is essential. Having recently renewed the qualification, I thought I’d take some notes on becoming an authorised person then share the experience with my network.
